Police said on Sunday that a 23 - year -old man was arrested last Friday on charges of rape his 5 year - old daughter at their home ground in Mok Kampul District, Kandal Province.
Mr Lek Dara, police officer of Prek Dambong Commune said the suspect is a construction worker who raped this girl makes her serious injury on Wednesday afternoon , while his wife go to work outside the home . he said , " when his wife to work outside the home , this man called his daughter come into the home and raped her both seriously " . He said the man had threatened to beat her if she says this .One day after a rape the girl had complained told her mother that she was painful genital and finally told her mother and family members about the rape . He took her to the referral hospital and filed a complaint to the police detained on Thursday to find this arrest suspects .
Mr Nov Savoth, district deputy police officer said that the suspect is questioned at police post yesterday and will be sent to the provincial police commissioner today . He said he was not clear whether the suspects will be sent to court charges or yet .
Mr Lek Dara said that when questioning, the man had confessed that he really raped his own daughter , but told police that he was drunk at that time , and " can not control himself".
