According to Ministry of Agriculture , Forestry and Fisheries figures released on Dec 02, 2013, Rice exports increased from 205,717 tons in 2012 to 378 .856 tons in 2013 due to the high demand from the European Union as well as in some countries in Asia as 
According to the same figures, France imported rice more than other countries then Poland, Malaysia, Dutch, China and Thailand .
Mr Hean Vann , Deputy Director -General of the Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries , said last year harvest was approximately 9.34 million tons is increased from 9.29 million tons in 2012 . He stated that Awards for Jasmine Rice which is best rice in the world helped the rice export situation and increasing. He points out that " More and more countries began to recognize Cambodian rice every day ".

Mr Lim Boon Heng, President of Association Rice Exporter , said rice exports from Caambodia has increased in the last few years latest due to the recognition of international.

He says " Other countries getting to know our rice . Orders continue to grow . He said " Loran Group exports 22,000 tons in 2013 , up from 5,700 tons in 2012 . He says " I will try to increase rice exports to double " This year.

But Mr Lim Boon Heng said While global demand for rice increased, fever local mills are facing problems in obtaining Bank credit for continuing operations . He says " Some commercial banks to borrow 60 To 70 percent of our assets while some banks to borrow only 50 percent or 30 to 35 percent . "
