Police in south Afghanistan arrested a 10 years old would-be suicide bomber on Sunday, a statement of the Interior Ministry released here Monday said.
"A 10-year girl named Spoghmai who was attempting to carry out suicide attack against police in Khanshin district of Helmand province yesterday evening was identified and arrested," the statement said.
During investigation, the innocent girl Spoghmai revealed that her brother named Zahir who is a Taliban fighter had encouraged her to conduct suicide attack, the statement said.
Taliban militants who are largely relying on suicide and roadside bombings have yet to make any comment.
