    • Description
      • The University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowships (UMGF) are merit-based awards that are open to students including international students who will be registered as full-time graduate students (Masters or Ph.D.) at the University of Manitoba regardless of nationality or discipline.
    • Scholarship Value
      • The value of these fellowships is $16,000 (Ph.D.) and is $12,000 (Master’s). 
      • Students are eligible to receive the UMGF for the first 24 months of their Master’s program and the first 48 months of their PhD program. Total maximum UMGF support for any individual graduate student is 48 months.
    • Eligible Candidates
      • Students with a minimum GPA of 3.75 (above B+) at a recognized university based on a Bachelor, Masters, Graduate Diploma or a Doctoral degree. Please use admissions criteria in calculating GPA, i.e., last 60 credit hours or equivalent. All students regardless of citizenship are eligible to apply. 
      • It is important to know the specific eligibility criteria set by the Department you will be under.
    • Application Instruction
      • It is obligatory to submit an application for the selected Master’s programme/s onUniversity Admissions prior to making a scholarship application. Only then will you be able to obtain your individual application number and the priority order (your choice of Master’s programme/s) which must be at hand when starting the online Scholarship application. A personal link to the scholarship application portal will be sent to you via email once you have submitted some key information via the link in section 8.
      • The application period for scholarships administered by Chalmers opens 15 November and closes 15 January.
